Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life. Psalm 23:6
Prayer: Father God, thank You for loving and relentlessly pursuing me first. You are worthy of the term, Hound of Heaven! Help me to respond appropriately to Your constant wooing, and protect me from turning away, chasing after what is worldly and temporary.
For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, Acts 13:36a
Prayer: Lord, set me free from self, but also deliver me from careless, even mindless, living. Help me to become what You created me for: Your pleasure, to be part of Your family, to become like Christ, to serve You, willing to be on mission for You!
and my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Prayer: Provider God, You know about the mortgage, school fees, university tuition, the car, fuel, food, and the list goes on. Then there is time, friendships, health and again the list goes on. Yet, I look back on my life and Your provision has never failed me, not even once. Thank You, Lord for supplying all our needs according to Your riches. Amen
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20
Prayer: When we pray and ask God to do what He has promised, He is faithful and able to bring it to pass. The Bible overflows with these, e.g. He promised to forgive us our sin and remove it as far as the east is from the west, to supply in all of our needs and to give us the Holy Spirit. Father, today I am by faith taking hold of a promise, committed to patiently remind You of Your undertaking.
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
Prayer: Lord, I am reminded that You look on the one who trembles at Your word! Reveal afresh to me how powerful Your word is to create, maintain and abolish! Today I shout forth Your words, full of faith as I release Your authority into a difficult situation.
“I was in prison and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:36c
Prayer: Father, through your faithful ministers, remind prisoners that no crime is too great,no sin too big that You cannot forgive. I bring their families to You – provide for their needs and heal them of their hurts. Lord, as many prisoners face re-entry, I ask that the system will not fail them or us, but that Your grace will prevail.
And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” Luke 10:18
Prayer: Pride is deadly and has the power to kill forever! It is self-reliance; it inflates, deceives and blinds. It is both being little in my own eyes and arrogant bragging. Father, forgive me, for I am guilty! Raise me up in humble, loving service, generously esteeming others better than myself!
“but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Prayer: Christ, the power and wisdom of God, put on display for all eternity; today I hold on to Your gracious strength, made perfect in weakness, for I am faint and weary. Rekindle the gift of God in me, for You have not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love and discipline.
Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD until He comes to rain righteousness on you. Hosea 10:12
Prayer: I have rested too long, neglecting areas in my life that now lie unplowed and hardened. Father, forgive me, for I have slipped up badly! It is time to put my hand to the plough again! Strengthen and teach me how to plow and plant in hope, trusting You for the increase!
For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not gear when the heart comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:8
Prayer: Considering all that I am not and what I need, I anchor my roots once more firmly in Christ! Thus I thrive, even bearing fruit in spite of calamity, protected and provided for; a planting of the Lord for His glory.
