I have always viewed God as the greatest artist, especially through his painted skies! If I could choose a scripture to represent my ‘mission statement’ while here on earth, it would derive from Matthew 5: 14-16 (from The Message version) which motivates us to “be a light” and be “God-colours”.
From a young age I have always enjoyed anything creative, from fashion to photography, self-directed plays to song-writing, designing to painting, and the list goes on!
Throughout High School I started selling sewn items, painted t-shirts, and did multiple mural commissions. I became really interested in the idea of combining my love for creativity with my love for business and entrepreneurship. Though I was hungry for where my gift could take me, it was after high school that the Holy Spirit gently reminded me to submit my plans to God and use my talents to serve Him and others.
In 2017, I was blessed to go to Ireland to study a BA(Honours) in Graphic Design Communication. These four years were challenging but after graduating in 2021, I can look back and testify of God’s faithful father-heart towards daily!
I am privileged to currently be working as a Graphic designer for Ethnos Movement International, while also freelancing and growing my skills and creativity on the side-lines. As a designer, my strengths lie in Visual Communication and Art Direction. I am a lover of all things related to branding and packaging and creating various editorial layouts. I am drawn to bold colours and playful patterns, and love working with my hands – whether that is through illustrating or filling numerous pages with logo depictions. My design-objective (and way of serving) is to help non-designers bring their ideas to life!
Daily, I feel the need to sit at God’s feet hungry to hear how he wants me to act next and how he wants me to serve and expand.
I am also continually inspired by God’s depth of creativity as it comes from a place of sharing so that us mere mortals can enjoy and embrace what he has created. It is therefore my desire that on this earth I can do the same, in my humanness and with the creative gift He has given me, all for His glory!
